Installation & Fixing
Installation starts only after dimensions, setting-out information, approved layouts and fabricated components have been checked. Our site scope includes marble flooring, wall cladding, stair treads and risers, countertops, vanities and feature stone, with control of levels, alignment, joint widths, vein sequence, grout and joint treatment, protection and final inspection. For projects requiring dedicated on-site marble fixing across Dubai and the UAE, specialist installation methods are selected according to the stone type, slab format, substrate, location and structural requirements.
Polishing
For new work, finishing is coordinated with the approved stone, edge profile and required polished, honed or textured appearance. For existing marble, we first assess scratches, etching, stains, lippage, damaged joints, chips and previous treatments before deciding whether local polishing, progressive re-polishing, joint repair, sealing or another corrective method is technically suitable.
Restoration
Marble restoration begins with condition mapping and testing of the existing surface. Depending on the material and depth of damage, the scope may include scratch reduction, stain treatment, local crack or chip repair, failed-joint replacement, grinding, re-polishing and sealing; surfaces that cannot be reliably restored are identified for repair or replacement rather than cosmetically concealed.

Established in Sharjah in 2016, Al Alwan Marble & Cutting LLC developed from a specialised stone-cutting operation into a coordinated contractor for material supply, precision fabrication and professional installation. From our Sharjah base, we support Dubai and UAE projects using marble, granite, travertine, limestone, onyx, quartz, porcelain, solid surface and large-format slabs, taking approved materials from measurement and workshop preparation through delivery, fixing, finishing and handover.
Project teams use Al Alwan when they need one responsible stone contractor between approved material and finished installation. We review site dimensions, interfaces, shop drawings, slab layout, vein direction, bookmatching, cut-outs and edge details before fabrication; prepare identified components in the workshop; coordinate delivery and site fixing; and close the package through finishing, inspection, rectification and handover. This control is especially important on flooring, wall cladding, staircases, countertops, vanities and feature stone, where errors in levels, joints or vein sequence remain visible after installation.

Selected slab-by-slab for colour, veining and movement, with applications including floors, walls, countertops, staircases, furniture and feature stone. Bookmatching, vein direction and usable slab area are reviewed before fabrication.
Travertine
Available in vein-cut or cross-cut character and filled or unfilled finishes for walls, bathrooms, stairs and selected exterior areas. Porosity, finish, exposure, slip requirements and maintenance are considered before approval.
Granite
Specified where a harder-wearing natural stone is required for kitchen surfaces, stairs, floors and selected exterior applications. Slab condition, finish, thickness, edge details and installation environment are confirmed for the actual use.
Onyx
Selected for backlit feature walls, reception counters, bars, furniture and decorative applications. Every slab requires review of translucency, structure, vein movement, support and lighting before cutting.
Quartz (Engineered Stone)

Quartzite

Travertine is selected by cut direction, fill condition and finish rather than colour alone. Al Alwan coordinates vein-cut and cross-cut material in honed, brushed, filled or textured finishes for walls, bathroom surfaces, stair components and selected exterior areas, with porosity, exposure, slip requirements and maintenance considered before final approval.
